Who is eligible to apply for a maple leaf card?

Under what circumstances can I apply for a maple leaf card?

You can only apply for a maple leaf card if you are in the following circumstances, otherwise you will not accept it.

1) Your maple leaf card has expired or expired within 9 months (270 days) (don't be earlier, otherwise it will be refunded).

2) Your maple leaf card is lost, stolen or destroyed ().

3) You did not receive your card within 180 days after your first login to Canada.

4) Information about the maple leaf card needs to be updated: legal changes including name, nationality, gender and date of birth correction.

Note: New immigrants do not need to apply for a maple leaf card specifically, nor do they need to go through the regular process. They simply need to provide immigration officers with a Canadian mailing address in order to receive maple leaf cards when entering the country. What do you need to do before applying?

If you are replacing a lost, stolen or damaged maple leaf card, you need to inform the Immigration Bureau about what happened before the application.

2) Copy of main identity documents, such as passports, travel documents, old maple leaf cards, etc. This document needs to display the type and quantity of the document, release and expiration date, your name, photo and date of birth.

) If you are under 18 years of age at the time of application, you will need to provide additional information:

1. A copy of your birth certificate or adoption certificate or legal guardianship documents issued by a Canadian court;

) If you apply for a new maple card before the old maple card is about to expire, you will need to provide an additional copy of the old maple card (note: the original old maple card needs to be saved until you get a new card).

) If you are an authorized agent or someone else applying to you, you must provide additional information: Form 5476 Authorized agent form or Form 5475 Personal information authorized to the designated person.

How to submit the Maple Leaf Card App?

After you have approved your Maple Card app, a new Maple Card will usually be mailed directly to you. But sometimes you may also inform you to go to your local office to collect new maple leaf cards.
