How to apply for renewal of an expired Canadian Maple Leaf Card

The Maple Leaf Card, also known as the Permanent Resident Card, is equivalent to the Canadian identity card of a permanent resident. Its validity period is generally five years. Usually six months before expiration, everyone has to apply for a new Maple Leaf Card. 1Fill in the application form

Initially, whether you are applying for a Maple Leaf Card for the first time, renewing it after it expires, or if your Maple Leaf Card is lost, you will use the same application form. The application form can be downloaded from the official website.

There are two application forms in total, one is called () and the other is called ().

In fact, it is a single page of paper that requires everyone to first fill in their name, then fill in the date, then write their personal height, then the specific color of the eyes, and finally the date when they became a permanent resident. Dear friends, you must pay special attention to the places where you write. You must not write nonsense all the way up, or post your own photos casually.

The two photos required for the application must be placed in a separate envelope, write your name on the outside of the envelope, and send it out together with other materials. For specific photo requirements, please refer to the picture below.

There are four pages in total. First, you have to fill in your own, which is the 8-digit ID number we mentioned before, in the box in the upper right corner of the first page. Then you have to choose which language you speak, and the purpose of filling out this application form: whether it is the first application, a renewal, or if your Maple Leaf card has been lost, stolen or damaged.

Next, everyone needs to fill in personal information, first the name shown above, then the current name (fill in this if it is different from the above), then gender, then date of birth, then place of birth, then nationality, then eye color, then height, then current residential address in Canada, then mailing address (only fill in this if different from residential address), then home phone number and other phone numbers, then email address, and finally marital status.

It mainly asks everyone to fill in their immigration history. First, you have to enter the province and city in which you became a permanent resident of Canada. Then you have to choose whether you have ever been ordered to leave Canada. Then you have to choose whether you have ever received a document indicating that you are not allowed to be a permanent resident of Canada.

What needs to be filled in is everyone's personal history. What needs to be filled in is your extremely detailed residential address, work experience and education history, as well as entry and exit experience in the past five years, all months and months of the year. If you have been a permanent resident for less than five years, start filling in the form from the date you became a permanent resident. Note that the time involved in each question must be accurate to the month! In addition, when calculating the departure date, the day of departure from Canada is not included, but the date of return to Canada needs to be included.

This is only required if you have been away from Canada for more than 1095 days in the past 5 years. You must explain here your circumstances when you were not in Canada and the reasons why you were outside Canada for more than 1,095 days.

In the end, only those babies who have been lost, stolen, or damaged need to be filled out.
