Immigration lawyers explained that the number of rejections released by the Canadian Immigration Department is not a complete count. It is not included in the cases under investigation, and applications that require additional materials are also excluded. Therefore, there is a difference between the visa rejection records released by the Immigration Department and the actual situation.
Generally speaking, these factors are the main reasons for the failure to replace the maple leaf card.
1. Haven't lived for two years in five years
In accordance with the requirements of the Canadian Immigration Bureau, a basic condition is required to apply for a new maple leaf card, that is, within five years, the total number of days of residence in Canada cannot be less than 730 days, which is converted into a calendar time, that is, for two consecutive years.
If the applicant fails to meet this condition, or the actual residence time is not enough, he may lose his permanent residence status.
2. There is no reliable address for correspondence in Canada
To apply for a replacement of the Canadian citizenship card or to handle other affairs of the Immigration Agency, each link includes submitting documents and information, so a contact address must be provided.
This address is specifically used to receive regular letters sent by the Canadian Immigration Agency and government agencies. If there is no stable address, you will encounter obstacles when applying for renewal of the maple leaf card.
3. No signs of living in Canada
Applying for a new maple leaf card requires confirmation of residence status. People who have been living in Canada for a long time must provide evidence of life and relevant traces. These materials are necessary.
Such as occupational certificates, tax declaration materials, lease contract texts, financial institution statements, public utility payment vouchers, etc., if the applicant cannot provide sufficient materials to prove that he does have a domicile, he is very likely to lose the qualification to apply for renewal of the Canadian citizenship card.
4. Passport time is not continuous
The passport contains many international travel footprints, or the passport has almost no records of foreign experience, which all indicate that living in Canada is very limited, and this situation poses great risks in applying for a brand new maple leaf card.
5. Have a record of criminal conviction
In accordance with the relevant terms of the Canadian Immigration Administration, once the applicant has a final ruling for criminal acts, his application for a new proof of citizenship will also be hindered.
