Canadian Immigration Ask How To Apply For A Maple Leaf Card? What Should I Pay Attention To During The Application?
Renewing the Maple Leaf Card Recently, many local and overseas Canadian immigrants have asked how to apply for a Maple Leaf Card? What issues should be paid attention to during the application process? We made a special interview with Mr. Bai Ning, senior director of the Canadian Overseas Immigration Services Center.
Recently, many Canadian immigration from local and overseas have consulted on how to apply for citizenship certificates and what should be paid attention to when applying. For this reason, we specially interviewed Mr. Bai Ning, senior executive director of Canadian Overseas Immigration Services. He first pointed out several key points in applying for citizenship certificates.
1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Canada;
2. Applicants must apply in Canada and cannot apply abroad;
Each family member must fill out the application form separately and submit the necessary materials and pay the processing fee.
If the application is not submitted within the specified time limit, the approval process will be delayed, and the standard processing cycle is usually around four weeks.
The applicant needs to go to the location designated by the Immigration Bureau to collect the maple leaf card, and no one can ask others to help collect it.
6. The validity period of the maple leaf card is five years;
Starting from January 1, 2004, Canadian permanent residents need to hold a maple leaf card to enter the country.
The application process for maple leaf card has been launched since October 15 last year. Mr. Bai Ning explained the approval qualification and processing steps of maple leaf card:
When applying for a Canadian citizenship card, you must provide a copy of your passport and immigration paper (IMM-1000). These copies need to be notarized by a professional. At the same time, if the applicant is under the age of eighteen, you must also submit a copy of your birth certificate.
In addition, the applicant must submit two guarantors who have known him for more than two years. These people need to endorse the Maple Leaf Card application form. They must be professionals and Canadian citizens. If the applicant cannot find a guarantor that meets the requirements, he can prove through an oath ceremony and a notary or lawyer present to testify to prove that he really cannot find a suitable guarantor.
Each applicant must provide two additional photos, which are of different sizes from the requirements for applying for a passport or citizenship. It is necessary to note that the back of the photo must have the seal and shooting time of the photo. The effectiveness of these photos lasts for one year.
