Scene 1: Mr. Chen is a Canadian and Mrs. Chen is a permanent resident. Both of them have lived outside Canada for more than three years. At present, Mrs. Chen Fu’s maple leaf card is about to expire, and she has not met Canadian living conditions for 730 days within five years. However, since Mr. Chen is Canadian, the living time of Mrs. Chen accompanying her husband outside Canada can be counted as the era of living in Canada, so she encountered the conditions for applying for a return card.

2. A full-time job sent by a local Canadian company outside Canada can be counted as residence time (if the spouse/children are also accompanied abroad in Canada at this time, it can also be counted as residence time in Canada)

Scene 2: Mr. Chen’s family is a permanent resident (including Mrs. Chen and her children). Both of them have lived outside Canada for more than three years. Currently, their maple leaf card is about to expire and has been ineligible for 730 days in Canada for five years.

Since Mr. Chen's job was assigned to work in China by a local Canadian company, Mr. Chen's time outside of Canada can also be counted as living in Canada, so their family meets the conditions for applying for a return card. 3. Humanitarian and sympathetic reasons

Plan 3: Mr. Chen is a permanent resident. He has not fulfilled his residence obligation and has been in Canada for five years and 730 days, but based on humanitarian and sympathetic reasons, Mr. Zheng may be eligible for applying for a return card.

The validity period of the return card is about 6-12 months, and the current official trial period is 1-2 months;

The validity period of the maple leaf card is 5 years, and the current formal trial period is 3-4 months.
